Meet the Facilitators
Grace Cheng is an English barrister, a Hong Kong solicitor, and a member of the Bar of the British Virgin Islands. She also holds rights of audience before the Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC), the DIFC Courts (Dubai), and the AIFC Court (Kazakhstan).
Recognised by Chambers and Partners in International Arbitration and named a Future Leader in Arbitration by Lexology Index, Grace is widely recognised for her expertise in complex cross-border commercial disputes. Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, she regularly advises governments, FTSE 100 companies, multinational corporations, and high-net-worth individuals. Her experience includes representing a company ultimately owned by one of the world's largest financial services groups in a SIAC arbitration valued at more than SGD 400 million.
As an experienced neutral, Grace has received more than 80 appointments as an arbitrator, adjudicator, and expert under the rules of the ICC, LCIA, SIAC, HKIAC, DIAC, AIAC, and SCCA, involving disputes governed by the laws of England and Wales, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia.
Grace graduated with First Class Honours from the London School of Economics (LSE) and earned a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) from the University of Oxford. She has taught law at the University of Oxford, King's College London, and universities in Taiwan. Prior to joining the Bar, she practised at Slaughter and May before serving as Judicial Assistant to the Judge in Charge of the Commercial Court.

Kim is a Hong Kong barrister, international arbitrator and mediator practising from Rede Chambers, admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and as a barrister and solicitor in Western Australia. Practising in Hong Kong since 1990, she began at Baker & McKenzie, then White & Case, becoming a partner and heading the firm's Asian dispute resolution practice, before joining the Bar in 2009. A member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration until 2024, she is recognised in Who's Who Legal Arbitration for her "rigorous intellect," with parties "left with total confidence" in her command of a case.
Kim serves as chair, presiding, co-, sole and emergency arbitrator in complex, high-value disputes spanning banking and finance, aviation, construction and infrastructure, energy, investment and trade, and technology. She sits on the arbitrator panels of AAA/ICDR, AIAC, CIETAC, HKIAC, JCAA, KCAB International, SCIA, SIAC and the Hague Court of Arbitration for Aviation, and is an HKMAAL and CEDR accredited mediator.
Beyond arbitration, Kim chaired the Hong Kong Law Reform Commission's Subcommittee on Third Party Funding for Arbitration, co-drafting the legislation that introduced third-party funding in Hong Kong. She sits on the Council of the Hong Kong Bar Association, chairs its Arbitration Committee, edits the IBA's Dispute Resolution International, and co-authored ICCA's Guide to the Interpretation of the 1958 New York Convention: A Handbook for Judges (2012).
