ASTINDO, whose members consist of Travel Agents from across Indonesia, was established on November 10,1999, by 25 leaders of established Travel Agents in Indonesia. The establishment of ASTINDO received support from the Minister of Culture and Tourism and the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia.
Objective: The Purpose of ASTINDO is to advance and protect the interest of the Travel Agent business in Indonesia, seek solutions to trade system problems with suppliers, and become a government partner in policy-making.
Legal Basis: ASTINDO was founded based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. Reffering to the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia No. 6 of 2014, in 2018, ASTINDO officially become a legal entity association/organization established through the Decree of the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia No. AHU-0008385.AH.01.07 Year 2018
