The Unpopular Fest is a vibrant intersection of musical theatre, policy advocacy, immersive exhibition, and youth-led movements initiated by Indonesian Youth Council for Tactical Changes (IYCTC). This festival brings the unspoken realities that define our generations well-being to the center stagecritical issues we live through every day, yet are too often pushed to the margins of policymakers' priorities.
From equal access to quality education, safe spaces for self-expression, mental health support, and fair job opportunities, to climate justice and safeguarding youth from the predatory targets of addictive industries; we are amplifying the strategic topics that matter most.
This is where young people take up space, celebrate art, and rewrite our own future!

ACT 1: THE UNHEARD VOICES (15.00 - 18.00 WIB)
The afternoon session is our safe space to gather, network, and constructively challenge the status quo.
- Unpopular Hearing and Indonesian Youth Summit on Tobacco Control: Desak Pemangku Kebijakan!. An interactive town-hall forum where you sit face-to-face with policymakers to directly express your grievances and demand concrete commitments regarding todays flawed regulations.
- Unpopular Gallery (Exhibition & Interaction Hub): A space for social experiments with The Blind Room Date, witness real field-data showcases from our 3 best regional youth councils (DPRemaja 4.0), turn your concerns into national Op-ed drafts, and explore your crisis-leadership style through interactive Tarot Arcana readings.
ACT 2: THE TRUTH UNFOLDED (18.00 - 21.30 WIB)
- Unpopular Show: Suwidak Loro Musical Theatre. A folklore adaptation capturing romance, sweet promises, and youth's quest for identity amidst the webs of power. It serves as a visual mirror, showing how superficial beauties are often used to mask and delay critical issues left hidden under the table
- Unpopular Motion: Lapor Dewan!. A high-impact advocacy stage featuring 11 top-tier youth delegates from Jakarta, Semarang, and North Lombok. They bring raw, ground-level data exposing how addictive industries slowly strip away clean living spaces and health rights in their regions
- Unpopular Dialogue (Consolidating the Youth Manifesto):The culmination of all shared narratives and field data. Together, we will formulate the Youth Manifesto and demand an immediate, transparent response from related ministries right in front of the public glare
