OCEANIA DANCE CONGRESS

Under the Presidency of Indonesia, the G20 Summit involves all stakeholders in strengthening commitment to sustainable blue growth through the mobilization of public-private funding and initiatives globally. To that end, the Ministry Coordinator for Maritime Affairs and Investment, together with Ministry of SOE’s (State Own Enterprise), the World Economic Forum (WEF), Tri Hita Karana (THK), and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), will host Ocean20 (O20) as a high-level event.

Ocean20 consists of two clusters, namely Ocean Health and Ocean Festival. The Ocean Health cluster will be held at BNDCC Bali from November 13 to November 15, 2022, and the Ocean Festival cluster is the Oceania Dance Congress (ODC), which carries the theme "Humanity, Environment, Oceania Culture, and Maritime Economy." This activity will be carried out in Bali from November 17 to November 19, 2022.

The theme was raised with the consideration that the world has given appreciation to Indonesia in its efforts to deal with humanitarian issues (Pandemic COVID-19) in the form of trust as the Presidency and host of the G20. The Success of The implementation of the G20 shows Indonesia's readiness to invite the whole world to work hand in hand, support each other to recover together, as well as grow stronger and more sustainable.

It is realized that in overcoming humanitarian problems (like the COVID-19 Pandemic), the government does not work alone and gets support from various parties. For this reason, on the momentum of activities, Oceania Dance Congress, Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Joint Investment The BUMN Foundation for Indonesia will hold a "Humanitarian Award" as a form of government appreciation to various parties (both private sector, individuals, BUMN, and friendly countries) who have reached out to help overcome humanitarian problems (Covid Pandemic-19).

As part of the G20's closing series of events, this Humanitarian Award activity will be combined with seminars about the environment and the sea, Oceania cultural performances, and small business exhibitions. Every night ODC will have music performances by various recording artists from Indonesia as a form of celebration of living.
