Have you ever wondered how migration and identity can be expressed through dance?

This is what 20 participants from the field of dance and music from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia explored in the workshop "Body Switch Migration, Identity & Hybrid Bodies" facilitated by Ruben Reniers, an Indonesian diaspora artist based in Berlin.

In this workshop, topics such as migration, identity, and cultural transformation were researched through an interdisciplinary approach that unites body, sound, and personal perspectives they created a performance.

As a result of the intensive workshop, a public work-in-progress presentation will be held. Audiences and practitioners are invited to attend, experience the piece, and take part in a dialogue and exchange of ideas, particularly on how migration is articulated through embodied movement and integrated musical composition.
