Hanne and Bernd have been happily married for 20 years. One day, Kurt, Hannes ex-husband who suffers from dementia arrives at their door, having no recollection that he and Hanne have been divorced for more than 20 years. The reluctant couple temporarily takes him in, disrupting their orderly lives.
